Veterinary Assistants

Rich, Patient Care Specialist

Rich received his Associates of Science Degree from the Veterinary Technician School in San Leandro’s Western Career College. He has worked for All Bay Animal Hospital since 1998. In addition to his fine technical nursing skills, Rich handles multiple other jobs including reception, inventory management, and accounts receivable. For a big guy, Rich’s demeanor is deceptive. He is both sensitive and gentle and his concern for our patients is obvious. Always smiling and good-natured, Rich has abundant energy and enthusiasm for all the things that he does. Mother Debra, father Richard, two sisters Malissa and Samantha, and his wonderful nephew Elias make up his close knit family. They enjoy the company of their 4 dogs Jessie, Buster, Rio, and Sheba. He also has a host of smaller family members they have adopted over the years. Rich enjoys outdoor activities including basketball, softball, hiking, mountain biking, and gardening. He likes to watch M.M.A. matches and takes pleasure in reading a good book.

Angela

Angela has completed her studies at Carrington College and is on her way to becoming a licensed Registered Veterinary Technician. She always knew since she was small that she would be working with animals. Growing up, her home was filled with a lot of animals and she was obsessed with watching every episode on Animal Planet. In her free time, Angela volunteers at East Bay Animal Rescue and Refuge and enjoys fostering animals. She is also the proud adoptive mom of a Chihuahua Mix and a little kitten. We are lucky to have her a part of our team.

Caroline

Caroline graduated from Animal Behavior College with a major in Animal Assisting. She is currently attending Santa Rosa Community College and will soon become a licensed Registered Veterinary Technician. Caroline is a very compassionate and dedicated team member whose strive for perfection is reflected in the quality of care that she provides to her patients. She has a wonderful, loving husband as well as a family consisting of 3 cats and a turtle. Outside of the hospital, you will likely find Caroline either hiking or in a swimming pool. She is a certified Lifeguard and swimming instructor and has great experience conducting swim lessons and providing lifeguard training to young adults.

Julie

You can see Julie at the Reception Desk, in the examination Rooms, and she also helps out in the back during procedures. Julie graduated from Butte College in 1998 as a Veterinary Assistant and has been practicing for the past 16 years. As a child, Julie helped her family raise stray cats and kittens, saving well over 60 of them. In addition to raising kitties, Julie and her family were brave enough to rescue and foster two raccoons and six squirrels. This experience was the foundation of her love for animals and encouraged her to become and advocate and seek a career helping all animals in need. Julie is the proud mom of a beautiful daughter, three cats, seven chickens, one bunny, and a school of salt water fish. In her spare time, Julie and her wife enjoy spending time with their animals, kayaking, and all other ocean sports.

Kellianne

Kellianne Graduated from Carrington College with a Veterinary Technician degree in 2011. She came to us in November 2014 after working at a holistic veterinary hospital in Livermore, CA. With a great love and passion for helping animals and their owners, Kellianne is a perfect fit with our All Bay Team! At home Kellianne has three dogs, two cats and a love bird. Being one of eight children growing up in her household, she has a tremendous amount of patience and compassion. Always having dogs and cats in the home, she was destined to be the awesome technician that she is! She is a wonderful addition to our team and we don’t know what we would do without her. We’re looking forward to having her with us for a long time to come.

Nicole

Nicole began as a volunteer during Veterinary Tech School, graduated with a Veterinary Technician A.S. degree from Carrington College, and now she has become wonder woman to every animal. While volunteering for All Bay, she learned about East Bay Animal Rescue and Refuge and began volunteering with them as well. She has lovingly fostered over 100 animals, which is quite possibly a record. Nicole is the proud mom of 4 cats, 4 dogs, one horse, one mini-horse, 3 guinea pigs, and one turtle. In the future, Nicole plans to pursue her horse dentistry degree and be the only licensed technician in the State of California. We wish her the best of luck, but for now we are proud to have her.

Maggie

Maggie graduated from the University of New Hampshire. She dedicates her time at work to making sure every pet is comfortable and loved while in the hospital. Her favorite part of being a technician is, “Cuddling with the pets without taking them home to do it”! Aside from spending quality time with her loving husband and two young children, Maggie enjoys arts and crafts including crochet and paper mache projects. One of her special interests is refinishing furniture. She has a dachsund named Brewzter and three cats named Logan, Una and Mia
